The Jane Austen Christmas season is coming up!

TWELFTH NIGHT CHRISTMAS PARTY
Sunday, January 5

at historic Montgomery’s Inn

This unique, immersive event takes you into the world of Dickens's beloved novel A Christmas Carol.  We'll experience ancient holiday traditions dating back to Scrooge’s youth and even further – wassail, Twelfth Cake, roasted chestnuts, carolling, seasonal games, fiddle music and dancing!

In Scrooge’s time, Christmas was celebrated well into January, culminating in Twelfth Night. Dancing and feasting, costumes, wassailing, carolling and games were all favourite activities for the season, and many balls were held throughout the holidays.

Schedule

1.30 pm – Doors open
2 - 3.30 – Dickens-era dance lesson
3.30 – 5.30 – Roasting chestnuts, carol-singing, Twelfth Cake & games
5.30  – A simple supper served by the fire in the historic kitchen
7 – Lamplight tour of the Inn
7.30 - 10 – Dancing to live music, with wassail served during intermission

This year, we've added a non-dancing option. Join us for games, Twelfth Cake, carolling, roasting chestnuts and a delicious historical supper served by the fire – all at the beautifully decorated Inn!

Non-dance ticket $40
Full-event ticket $70, $50 for youth, students and seniors
